Chemical safety and the limits of this site

CleaningHQ covers chemical safety, which the HEKNO standards treat as a high-consequence topic. Three things follow, and none of them is a disclaimer intended to substitute for care in what we publish.

• Jurisdiction. Written primarily for a United Kingdom readership. Product formulations, regulations and emergency services differ by country.
• Manufacturer instructions govern. Where the manufacturer of your item or product gives instructions, those instructions take precedence over anything here.
• Escalation. If fumes have been produced or anyone is unwell, get into fresh air and seek medical help immediately. In the UK, use NHS 111 or 999 as appropriate. See Safety.

A disclaimer does not compensate for unsafe or misleading content, and we do not treat it as one. The substantive protection is in what we refuse to publish — see Sources & methodology.

Analytics and privacy

Anonymous usage analytics are collected only if you agree, and nothing is sent before you make that choice. No personal data is collected, no advertising identifiers are set, and nothing you type or select is recorded as text — the events we record carry only catalogue identifiers and counts. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.

Commercial independence

CleaningHQ carries no advertising and no affiliate links at present. If commercial recommendations are introduced, they will be clearly disclosed, they will never appear on safety, science or claim-assessment pages, and they will never influence an editorial or safety judgement.

Content on this site is © HEKNO Ltd. Systematic copying, scraping, republication and unauthorised AI or dataset use are restricted. For licensing enquiries, contact licensing@hekno.co.uk.

Corrections and complaints
