In detail
A scrubber dryer does in a single pass what a mop and bucket do in three stages: it dispenses cleaning solution at a set rate, works it with a pad or brush, and recovers the dirty solution through a squeegee and vacuum immediately behind. A resilient-floor specification lists it as an alternative to damp mopping for daily cleaning, with the same pad grade the rotary machine would use. The recovery is the point, and it is where the household comparison breaks down. A mop returns most of the soil to the bucket and then puts some of it back on the floor; a scrubber dryer removes the soil and the water together, so the floor is walkable within moments and nothing is left to dry into a residue. Every problem this catalogue records under residue and re-soiling is a problem of solution left behind, and this machine exists to not leave any. It does not solve the chemistry. The specification still names a pH-neutral cleaner and a dilution, and a scrubber dryer filled with the wrong product distributes the wrong product very efficiently.
