In detail
A vacuum hose is a pressure component and it fails quietly. A hose that has been crushed, kinked or partially collapsed by being trodden on carries less air, and the machine sounds exactly the same while lifting noticeably less. Because there is no indicator for it, the user tends to conclude that the vacuum is old. Crush-proof hoses are reinforced so that they retain their bore under load, and conservation purchasing guidance names them as a good option along with ball-joint connections that let the machine follow the operator rather than being dragged.
